MCGREW 4WD TRAIL

Seasons: Open year-round
(All year except when closed due to fire danger or snow.)

Contact land managing agency for trail status.

The McGrew trail is open to all classes of ATVs. Detailed information available from the Galice Ranger District. 20 miles of 4WD trail for the very experienced driver. Area is remote and should not be attempted alone. Lots of rock and mud. Sourdough Camp (a primitive campground) is at the end of the trail, and closed during the wet season. Map available from the local Forest Service office in Cave Junction. There is a wet season closure (Sept-June) on this road to help prevent the spread of spreading Port Orford cedar root rot.

Site location: Around 15 miles southwest of Cave Junction on Hwy 199.
